The sun is out and the festival season is well and truly upon us! A few weeks ago I was at Parklife in Manchester and the next stop is Kendal Calling in the Lake District. Despite the mud and the rain which inevitably greets us, festival-goers still do their best to look good whatever the weather. ‘Festival chic’, as its known, isn’t just for the festivals; headbands, kaftans, wellies have all made their way into our summer wardrobes.
Here are a few bits and pieces I picked up recently!
First up, this cute playsuit from Urban Outfitters. I find playsuits so comfy – it’s like walking around in your pyjamas…The hat is from Primark, which is just as well because I know I’ll probably lose it straight away!
I love all things boho and embroidered and this top/dress is just right. The cotton fabric and wide arms make it really cool and airy. This was from Ark (I also got one in white).
Another thing I seem to be obsessed with at the moment is off the shoulder tops and dresses. There’s loads of kimonos and dresses out there in this style (like the one below from Boohoo, although you can’t really tell). Definitely good for a relaxed look.
Next up is accessories! Geometric/aztec pieces are in at the moment and really easy to wear. I got these earrings from Boohoo and the necklace from Primark. I also picked up some cute, sparkly eyelashes because festivals are one of the few places where it doesn’t matter if you go a little over the top.
Although its great to look good at a festival, I always say that comfort is the main thing! Keep an eye out over the next few weeks as I’ll be doing a series of festival posts throughout summer.
